How we write
Editorial policy
Effective date:
1. Who writes PepTrac pages
Calculators, guides, and tracker pages on peptrac.app are written and maintained by the team that builds PepTrac, published as the PepTrac Editorial Team. We do not name individual authors and we do not claim medical credentials. No medical professional reviews these pages, and we do not claim one does. If that changes, the reviewer will be named on the page. PepTrac is owned and operated by Blanket LLC.
2. How we choose and cite sources
Factual and numeric claims carry a numbered citation that links to a list of sources at the bottom of the page. Our order of preference is FDA-approved prescribing information on DailyMed, then pages from the FDA, CDC, NIH, and similar agencies, then peer-reviewed studies and reviews found through PubMed. We do not use vendor marketing pages as evidence. A source is listed only after we have opened it and confirmed that it says what the page says. Each source shows the date we last checked it.
When we cannot find a source for a number, we leave the number out or label it plainly as a rule of thumb. Where evidence is thin, such as storage times for research peptides, the page says it is not established instead of giving a number. We do not publish ratings, reviews, or user counts.
3. How calculators are tested
Where the PepTrac app has the same calculation, the page runs the same tested code as the app, and worked examples on the page are checked by automated tests. Calculators convert numbers you enter. They never choose a dose, and estimates such as level curves are shown with a range instead of a single number.
4. What these pages are not
PepTrac is educational and record-keeping software, not medical advice. Our pages do not recommend any compound, dose, or schedule, and where it matters they say plainly that many research peptides are not FDA-approved. They do not replace the product label, your prescriber, or your pharmacist. PepTrac does not sell, prescribe, or supply peptides or any other medication.
5. How and when pages are updated
Each page shows a published date and an updated date. We change the updated date only when the content of the page changes, never automatically. If a source changes or a number turns out to be wrong, we correct the page and update the date.
6. How to report an error
If you think something on a page is wrong, email team@peptrac.app with the page address and what you found. We review reports and correct confirmed errors. You are welcome to cite our pages, but for clinical facts please cite the primary source we link.
7. Commercial disclosure
PepTrac is a free iPhone app with an optional subscription, PepTrac Pro. Pages on this site may mention the app. We do not sell peptides, and no page is paid placement for any product.
